A thinner foldable still needs to feel durable
Specifically, Google describes the Pixel 11 Pro Fold as thinner and lighter, while calling it three times stronger. The company does not make that durability claim feel like a minor footnote. Instead, it places the claim near the center of the product story.
That is a sensible priority. Foldables ask owners to open and close a larger display every day. Therefore, weight, thickness, and confidence in the hinge can matter as much as headline specifications.
The inner display is meant to do more
